Visit to South Wales Aviation Museum

Get up close and personal with flying machines!
Join us from about 1 PM on Sunday 6th July 2025, for a visit around this fascinating museum which is located at the former Royal Air Force base at St Athan in the Vale of Glamorgan. With a hangar chock-full of heritage military aircraft, cockpits and historical artefacts, the museum preserves the stories and aircraft that represent decades of military service.
The museum is certified ‘dog-friendly’ with a doggy menu in the SWAM cafe (reachable by a secure, spiral staircase). Human visitors are also catered for with hot meals, cakes and drinks.
Parking is free.
The museum is open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 4 PM. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online via the venue’s website (subject to an admin. fee).
