The Wales Baltic Society (initially the Cardiff Baltic Society) was formed as the result of a meeting held on 31st January 1991 in response to the killings in Vilnius on 13th January 1991. The inaugural meeting was held on 26th February 1991.

Objectives:

  1. To promote friendly links between the people of Wales and the people of the Baltic countries.
  2. To support the continuing independence of the Baltic States.
  3. To generate increased awareness of the Baltic countries by education, publicity and research.

Activities:

  • Connect with people both with and without roots in the Baltic States.
  • Both formal and informal meetings to meet with others in the Society.
  • Speakers on topics aligned with the Society’s objectives.
  • Members are kept informed by regular newsletters and other communications.
